STUDENTS OUR PEOPLE
Living a Life of Meaning...
Our Core Curriculum represents the essential knowledge you will need to live a life of inquiry, and searching for truth, justice, and happiness—truly a life filled with meaning...

Yorktown University 's Core Curriculum is not merely a "required curriculum."  The Core Curriculum at Yorktown University embodies the Western discovery of philosophic discourse, the importance of citizenship, the knowledge that defines our humanity, and what it means to participate in the history and culture of the West.

"The Core" embodies a course of study designed to introduce our students to the central ideas of Western civilization, the intellectual discovery that is the hallmark of Western culture and the ways that we celebrate daily the precious and hard earned gifts of life, liberty, citizenship and the opportunity to become educated.
