RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a popular way to get news and information from across the Internet. RSS software regularly pulls headlines from news sites and Web journals and presents them within e-mail software, Web browsers or standalone programs known as readers.

Some browsers (Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari) provide support for RSS.  Users of other browsers will need to download and install a news reader program or use an RSS service such as Bloglines.
