Independent Study in a Degree Program
U.S. Military Personnel seeking to become Degree Candidates at Yorktown University may choose to enroll in an open-enrollment program of Independent Study (at the student's convenience).

U.S. Military choosing the Independent Study option study independently, with ongoing faculty interaction, and a "rolling" admission schedule and may enter and complete a course at any time.  The Independent Study option for degree candidates allows students to complete coursework in a Degree Program on a schedule other than the Scheduled Terms in which Yorktown University's academic year is organized.

U.S. Military choosing the Independent Study option must complete two courses annually.  Exceptions are granted for extraordinary personal circumstances including deployment.
